Former NFL player LeShon Eugene Johnson is in some serious trouble once again.
The Haskell-native is facing d*g fighting related charges again for the second time in his life. He has been charged in federal court for operating a “large-scale” d*g fighting and trafficking operation in Broken Arrow.
The U.S. Department of Justice said Leshon Eugene Johnson appeared in court last week and was charged with possession of 190 pit bull d*gs used for an “animal fighting venture and for selling, transporting, and delivering a d*g for use in an animal fighting venture.”
He was indicted by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Oklahoma for violations of d*g fighting prohibitions of the federal Animal Welfare Act.
The DOJ said federal authorities seized 190 d*gs from Johnson in October 2024 as this is believed to be the most d*gs ever seized from a single person in a federal d*g fighting case.
Johnson stands accused of running a d*g fighting operation called “Mal Kant Kennels” in Broken Arrow and Haskell.
