Hailey Van Lith and Angel Reese are set to rejoin forces once again.
The Chicago Sky made it all possible when they selected her No. 11 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Shortly after Van Lith heard her name called, Reese took to social media to express her excitement about the selection while also stating her one regret from their short time together in college.
“We ain’t do it right the first time,” Angel Reese wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Let’s run it backkkkk.”
The feeling was mutual.
“Excited to be around her again,” Hailey Van Lith said.
“I think we have a lot of similarities about how we carry ourselves and our mindset on what’s important to us. She’s a dog, man. She turns up the intensity of everybody around her.
“I’m excited to be in that environment with her again where she can pull more out of me than I think I have.”
Back in college, Van Lith shocked everyone after she transferred to LSU for the 2023-24 season. Because of how she was used, her numbers dropped across the board as the team lost in the Elite Eight to Caitlin Clark and Iowa.
After that season, Reese was drafted No. 7 overall, and Van Lith transferred to TCU. She had a bounce-back campaign with the Horned Frogs, averaging 17.9 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.6 assists across 38 appearances.
Hailey Van Lith Made History In College Before Getting Drafted
The 2025 WNBA draft was held on Monday night, and it didn’t take long for Hailey Van Lith to hear her name called. She is reuniting with Angel Reese after the Chicago Sky took her with the No. 11 pick.
Before Monday, she made one last piece of college history as a member of TCU.
Van Lith became the first player in NCAA history to reach the Elite Eight with three different programs—Louisville, LSU, and TCU.
In her one season at TCU, she averaged 17.9 PTS and 5.4 AST and was named both Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
