Kelsey Plum is wasting no time settling into her new chapter with the Los Angeles Sparks. With the 2025 WNBA season approaching, the star guard is already turning heads with her off-season grind.
She dropped a few workout clips on Instagram this week, and fans instantly took notice. After Sparks acquired Plum in an important January trade, she is ready to bring competitiveness and a championship mindset to the team. And specifically, with these gym clips, it’s evident that fans love this.

Plum shared a series of training videos on Instagram, showing her working on footwork and hand-eye coordination. Dressed in a tank top and camo shorts, she looked focused and fired up. The post quickly caught fire online, with fans flooding the comments.
Another added, “That’s what I call dedication.” The reactions were as energized as her drills, reflecting the buzz around her move to Southern California.
The 2025 season marks a homecoming of sorts for Plum, who grew up in Southern California. “Joining the Sparks is an incredible honor,” She said. “Growing up in Southern California, I watched this franchise set the standard for excellence, and now I’m blessed to be part of the Sparks’ championship legacy.”
Plum arrives in LA with a decorated résumé: two WNBA titles, three All-Star selections, and a career season last year with 17.8 points and 4.2 assists per game. The Sparks are counting on her to help lead a new era, and the front office believes she’s up to the task.
“She is an elite talent, a proven champion and an extraordinary person and leader,” said Sparks managing partner Eric Holoman.
The Sparks open their season on May 16 against the Golden State Valkyries. Judging by her early workouts, Plum looks more than ready to make an impact.
