ESPN sports telecaster Holly Rowe is an absolute legend in her career, but that does not mean that bumps in the road haven’t happened along the way.
Rowe is one of the most respected names in the sports media business, but longtime WNBA fans have a tough time overlooking her history of problematic interviews.
One such case came last month during the NCAA Tournament when she was on the call of the game before JuJu Watkins got hurt. Watkins, college basketball’s biggest star player since Caitlin Clark, is a huge fan draw, and Rowe made sure to note that during the broadcast.
Holly Rowe referred to JuJu Watkins home games as the “BET Awards.”
Another issue with Rowe happened on Monday night at the 2025 WNBA Draft.
One social media user posted a “Holly Rowe Draft Night Bingo” card, which generated over 228,000 views on X from fellow fans bracing for the worst on draft night.
The NSFW bingo card called attention to serious issues with Rowe’s reporting.
Throughout the night, many called for her to be fired.
“how is holly rowe not fired?” one fan asked.
“I actually need Holly Rowe fired by tmrw fr😭😭,” another fan demanded.
“Holly making an interview with a just drafted girl into the WNBA, all about her brother that plays for the Seattle Seahawks, such a cringe watch,” a third fan stated.
“Holly is cringe as hell,” one final fan commented.

Despite what fans may think about her, Holly is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Back in 2023, Rowe re-signed with ESPN on a long-term deal.
Rowe has prominent positions on ESPN/ABC’s coverage of college football, women’s college basketball, women’s college softball, and the WNBA.
“I feel like I am living my best life, and I am so grateful to ESPN for letting me keep doing this,” said Rowe at the time.
