Patrick Mahomes continues to benefit from calls or non-calls.

At one point during the game against the Houston Texans in the divisional round against the Texans, Mahomes could be seen celebrating on the field.

Usually, that is not a big story, but the type of celebration he did was noticeable.

Patrick Mahomes held his hand up like a gun, which should’ve gotten a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. That is normally a 15-yard penalty.

The policy has been in the players manual for years, and players know they cannot do a gun celebration.

One concern the league has previously had is that the celebrations will trickle down in college and high school sports, which it has done.

How Patrick Mahomes escaped a penalty is anyone’s guess.
