Elon Musk Sparks Controversy by Calling for Boycott of ‘The View’; Cast Fires Back

Elon Musk ignited controversy after calling The View “a meeting place for ignorant women” and urging a boycott. His remarks, made in response to the show’s criticism of his leadership at X, went viral, dividing public opinion.

The hosts of The View fired back. Whoopi Goldberg dismissed Musk’s comments, saying, “Elon, honey, you’ve got a lot of money, but you don’t have a lot of class.” Joy Behar mocked his inability to take criticism, while Sunny Hostin highlighted his pattern of reacting negatively to strong women.

The backlash was swift. Supporters, including Joe Rogan, defended Musk, criticizing The View as an “outrage machine.” Opponents, including Hillary Clinton and Alyssa Milano, condemned his remarks as sexist. ABC backed its hosts, while some advertisers reconsidered ties with Musk’s platform, X.

Musk doubled down, tweeting, “They can dish it out but can’t take it.” With neither side backing down, the feud underscores a growing divide between media and influential figures like Musk—one that isn’t fading anytime soon.
