South Africans have not stopped buzzing over the news of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes — stage name AKA’s — passing. Many of them were brought close to tears after watching AKA and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai discuss their romance on a recent episode of SABC’s The Insider SA on Monday this week. During the interview, the pair gushed over each other and revealed their future plans.

At one point during the interview, Nadia revealed that she wants to have a baby with the rapper – a dream that will now never be realised.

Nadia Nakai reveals that she wanted to have AKA’s child

On Friday 10 February last week, AKA , 35, was shot execution-style outside a Durban restaurant. The award-winning rapper had been dining with friends and was saying his final goodbyes outside the eatery when an unknown assailant walked up to him and shot him from behind.

AKA’s friend and former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane also lost his life during the incident.

Thousands of the rapper’s fans have shared messages of condolence with his family and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai who had been in Sandton, Johannesburg at the time.

Fans were left feeling even sadder for Nadia after watching her and AKA share their love story on an episode of The Insider SA which aired on the eve of Valentine’s Day.

During the segment, Nadia revealed that she definitely wanted to have a baby with the rapper who already has one child, Kairo Forbes, with Zinhle “DJ Zinhle” Jiyane.

In October last year, Nadia also told The Sowetan that she would love to have AKA’s babies one day.

“We didn’t plan to become a couple, it just happened… I’ve witnessed how great he is as a father, of course, I’d love to have his babies one day,” she said.

Rumours start swirling

People soon started speculating that Nadia could possibly be pregnant. Many of them headed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One Twitter user, @_LeratoMabuza wrote that Nadia is definitely pregnant – she did not provide evidence of this.

Lerto was quickly shunned by other app users who advised her not to spread rumours.
