Jason Kelce’s got jokes. To celebrate April Fool’s Day, the retired NFL star, 37, pulled a lighthearted — and fairly obvious — prank on one of his employees.
The official Instagram account for Jason and Travis Kelce’s Garage Beer screenshotted the email from the former Philadelphia Eagle that was sent at 9 a.m. on the dot on April 1. The subject of the prank email read, “URGENT!” and in the body, Jason wrote, “Ur fired,” at the top — before adding, “Lol jk, happy April Fools day,” a couple of lines below.
In the signature of Jason’s Garage Beer email address — which also uses an old photo of a young Travis as the profile picture — his title is listed as “Quality Assurance.” “Someone tell my boss this isn’t funny,” the caption of the post read.
But some fans enjoyed the prank. One user wrote, “Kinda funny tho😂,” while several others reacted with laughing emojis in the comments. Another clever commenter wrote, “I imagine nonsense emails are an occupational hazard when Jason Kelce is your boss.”
Jason may be pulling pranks at work, but at home, it’s his wife Kylie Kelce who’s calling the shots.
Kylie, 32, revealed on the March 13 episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, that she plans to convince her husband to allow a pet cat in their house after he previously said he didn’t want to adopt one.
“My husband has told our daughters that cats are poisonous. He is desperate to not have a cat, which is hilarious … [because] he grew up with a cat, Flash, who he was forever impressed by [when] she would catch birds mid-air in the backyard, and it blew his mind,” Kylie said on the episode.
“One day, I’m just going to take our kids to the local rescue, and I’m going to pick out a cat, and then I’m going to bring the cat home,” she said. “I’m gonna full-commit [and adopt], then I’m going to make sure it’s a day or two where he’s not home, traveling.” Kylie and Jason share three children — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2 — and are expecting their fourth daughter any day now.
