1. Space & Aliens

Elon Musk has stated that he believes he is an alien. However, he has also said that there is no proof of any aliens and that if there were, he would be the one to know. He has said a lot of things regarding his feelings about aliens and potential life on other planets. Elon Musk is anything but quiet when it comes to his thoughts on space, space exploration and life on other planets.

“And for some reason, a lot of the same people who think there are aliens among us don’t think we went to the moon, which, I’m like, ‘Think about that for a second.’”
“I think the answer might be, probably, that that civilization is precarious and rare. And that we should really think of human civilization as being like a tiny candle in a vast darkness. And we should do everything possible to ensure that that candle does not go out.”
“Many people ask me, where are the aliens? And I think that if anyone would know about aliens on Earth, it would probably be me.”
“I am an alien. Yeah, I keep saying I’m an alien, but nobody believes me.”
“Seems like an opportune moment to bring up the Fermi Paradox, aka, where are the aliens? Really odd that we see no sign of them.”

2. On Social Security

Elon Musk is a senior adviser to President Donald Trump and has advised him that $500-$700 billion needs to be cut from government spending, describing Social Security as “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time.”

President Donald Trump has vowed to protect Social Security, but Elon Musk has called it a scheme. “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time,”
Musk suggested that 20 million people received Social Security past age 100, which he later called “the biggest fraud in history.”

3. On Covid-19

2020 was a year unlike any other. For many of us, the world was shut down with restrictions on gathering sizes, how many people were allowed at the store, and people preparing for their biggest fears. But Mr. Musk had other thoughts that he made very public.

“We cannot ascribe everything to the Covid vaccine, but by the same token we cannot ascribe nothing.”.
‘I supposedly have it again (sigh), but almost no symptoms,’
“Covid-19 is the virus of Theseus. How many gene changes before it’s not Covid-19 anymore?”
“Something extremely bogus is going on. Was tested for covid four times today. Two tests came back negative, and two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse.”
“My guess is that the panic will cause more harm than the virus.”
“As a basis for comparison, the risk of death from C19 is vastly less than the risk of death from driving your car home.”

4. The Diver

In June of 2018, Vernon Unsworth was a part of a massive effort to rescue twelve boys that were trapped in a Thai cave. Elon Musk sent over engineers and a submarine to assist in the search, which Unsworth called a PR stunt. In response, among many other things, Musk called Unsworth a “p*do guy,” and it quickly became a defamation case.

5. Other Strange Things Elon Musk Has Said

We’re sure it’s clear by now that Elon Musk is an incredibly opinionated, outspoken person. But just wait. The most bizarre things he has said are still to come!

“I want the future to look like the future.”
“If there was a way that I could not eat so I could work more, I would not eat. I wish there was a way to get nutrients without sitting down for a meal.”
“Vacations will kill you.”
“I want you to think ahead and think so hard every day that your head hurts. I want your head to hurt every night when you go to bed.”
“If you don’t improve, your resignation will be accepted. This meeting is over. Done.”
“This is how civilizations decline. They quit taking risks. And when they quit taking risks, arteries harden. Every year there are more referees and fewer doers. When you’ve had success for too long, you lose the desire to take risks.”
“… even if there’s the zombie apocalypse, you’ll still be able to travel throughout the country using the Tesla supercharging system.”
“Comradery is dangerous. It makes it hard for people to challenge each other’s work. There is a tendency to not want to throw a colleague under the bus. That needs to be avoided.”
“You’ll be able to travel for free, forever, on pure sunlight. So I think it’s pretty hard to beat that. Free long distance? You’re not going to get that with gasoline.”
“Did you ever notice that cities are built in 3-D, but the roads are only built in 2-D? You could build roads in 3-D by building tunnels under cities.”
