Mark Zuckerberg is about to close schools

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan will close The Primary School in Palo Alto, California, at the end of the 2025-2026 school year, after 9 years of operation.

This decision affects more than 500 students and 159 school staff.

The Primary School was established in 2016 with the goal of combining education, health care and social support. However, the school decided to close after careful consideration but did not give a specific reason. Jean-Claude Brizard, president of The Primary School board, expressed his appreciation for the support from the community throughout the school’s journey.

The school focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) measures. The university’s website outlines the vision of building a model that can be implemented effectively in diverse communities and sustained based on public funding. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Fund, which sponsors the university, also announced a $50 million investment over the next few years to support the transition.

The decision to close the school comes as Mark Zuckerberg is moving away from his previous progressive views and has instead become close to President Donald Trump, the Daily Mail reported.

Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg is being accused of violating antitrust laws by acquiring rivals to maintain power and increase profits. If ruled unfavorable, the tech merchant’s $1.3 trillion business empire could be broken.

According to the latest report, Mark Zuckerberg spent millions of dollars approaching President Trump to avoid billions of dollars in fines from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and protect his empire from being divided. Meta representatives met with Trump and other administration officials during the lobbying campaign. The FTC asked for $30 billion to settle the lawsuit, much higher than Meta’s $450 million proposal.
